I have been a student at TSC since Year 7 and have always taken pride in being actively involved in school life. I applied for the captain role to push myself beyond my comfort zone and to grow as a leader who leads with empathy, integrity, and purpose. As captain, I hope to make a real difference within our school community by raising money for causes that are close to our hearts, such as the Good Friday Appeal and Dolly’s Dream, and by inspiring more students to get involved, feel valued, and have a voice in our school.
Since year 7 I have been inspired by past captains to pursue a leadership role in my school. This year I’m excited to have the opportunity to lead the student council, who are the next generation of leaders. I am eager to work with the other captains and year level leaders to orchestrate engaging and meaningful events throughout the year whilst addressing any issues our students may be facing. I hope to pass on this eagerness to the next year’s captains so that they may continue the betterment of our school.
Since starting year 7 at TSC, I have really enjoyed my time here. I have loved getting involved with school activities, creating many long-lasting memories and being a part of such a welcoming community. I have always wanted to be a future leader and now being a vice captain I hope I can be a positive role model and make a lasting impact. My aim is to promote inclusivity, strengthen school spirit, and support initiatives that make TSC a welcoming place for all students.
I have been at Tallangatta Secondary College since Year 9 and have enjoyed my time making memories and friends along the way. I applied for the role of Vice Captain because it’s been a lifelong dream of mine to be a role model for the younger students at the school. Further to this, I wanted to learn what it’s like to be a leader and gain the skills associated with being one. Throughout this year I aim to implement the student council’s ideas in the school community and have a fun time leading the school alongside the other captains.
